Sight Sciences’ new assistive technology helps patients with central vision loss

Rowan Mattern, director of marketing for eSight, illustrates the use of the company’s eSight 4 device to assist patients with central vision loss. The way it works is, the camera picks up the image that the person can no longer perceive, runs it through a software algorithm, and projects it onto two OLED monitors, one in front of each eye. And the wearer then uses a peripheral and parafoveal vision to process the visual stimuli. The way it works is the way you wear it.
