Independent Research with Myomo’s MyoPro® Shows Clinically Significant Gains in Motor Function in Individuals with Chronic Moderate-to-Severe Arm Weakness

Myomo, Inc., a wearable medical robotics company that offers increased functionality for those suffering from neurological disorders and upper-limb paralysis, announces that new research measuring the benefits of the Company’s MyoPro myoelectric orthosis found “statistically significant improvements” in a number of motor function measurements. The research study, titled “Myoelectric Arm Orthosis in Motor Learning-Based Therapy for Chronic Deficits After Stroke and Traumatic Brain Injury,” was funded by the U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity, and supported by the Office of Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs, through the Orthotics and Prosthetics Outcomes Research Program.
